The Nalder Trust
As a result of a bequest from Miss Nalder in 1993, the Nalder Charitable Trust was created of which the Parish Council is Sole Trustee. The Trust is now registered as an Almshouse Charity. Click this link to view the Trust's Charity Commission Registration Certificate.
The Trust owns four flats at Homeforde House which are let to local people over the age of 55 who could not otherwise afford to live in the Parish. The flats have brought enormous benefit to the tenants during that time and are a great asset to the village.
The Council is advised on its policies by a committee consisting of Councillors and Non-Councillors. We currently have one place for a non-councillor to join this Advisory Committee. If you have an interest in, or experience of, social housing, and would be interested to help, please get in touch with the Parish Clerk who can provide further details. Please use this link to email the Parish Clerk or telephone 01590 622829.
