ENVIRONMENTAL NOTE. The New Forest is an internationally renowned designated site of Special Scientific Interest (SSI) and Special Area of Conservation (SAC). As a home for rare and endangered species, including ground nesting birds etc. camping and caravanning can only be permitted on designated sites. To protect the wild life after dark access to the open forest, or overnight parking its tracks or car parks is not permitted. Thank you for your understanding; it will help protect this highly sensitive area for future generations.
