This year saw the village's first scarecrow competition held in conjunction with the Open Gardens Scheme and bringing many villagers and village organisation together to support the Hampshire Air Ambulance and other good causes.
The winner was that constructed by the 50+ group who appropriately built a scarecrow exercising on a trampoline. The 30+ scarecrows created a fantastic way of decorating the village and were all of a high standard. We look forward to the next event in 2012.
