Community and visitor information all here on our village website.

2012 A Year to Remember – Be part of it !!!

The Village Events Committee is now working hard towards successful village wide celebrations of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June. There is still plenty to do and the committee is looking for helpers. If you can offer help, however small, please contact a committee member or contact the Parish Council office 622829.

Closely following, on Saturday July 14th the Olympic Torch Relay passes through Brockenhurst. The Parish Council is also working on this event and more detail will be available in due course.

Website Visits

This website is has been getting between 3500 and 8000 visits per month over the last 4 years. Thank you for your support. We hope you are finding it an invaluable source of information. It is now undergoing a major update. Please bear with us while this work is conducted.

Rainwater and all those winter things!

Winter is here so our usual winter warning about keeping ditches and other watercourses clear. This simple task will avoid any local ground flooding issues if we have heavy rain. Again advice on how this affects you can be found in the Village Directory and on this website.

Sadly we have to report a building was flooded recently possibly due to an adjacent private watercourse being obstructed. Please be a good neighbour and check any watercourse for which you are responsible.

Drivers please remember that verges are soft and easily damaged by over running. In many cases they are also valuable grazing for the Forest animals.

Visitors and Newcomers Corner.

Whether visitor or resident you are probably here because you admire the Forest and its scenery. Help us protect it for future generations by learning a little of its' unique past and how you can help protect its' future. Follow this link to an excellent introduction to the Forest produced by The Verderers Court - not sure who the Verderers are? Just follow the link!
