The
route has now been announced and it will leave the Balmer Lawn car park at
10.25am on Saturday July 14th then take a short refreshment break at
the College and process down Lyndhurst Road as far as the junction with
Brookley Road. More details to follow. Four torch carriers have been nominated
for Brockenhurst. Sadly local nominee retired GP Derek Browne, who ran in many
London Marathons and also raised money for the village hall in doing so, is not
among them. However he has been invited to run on July 11th in
Ludgershall Wiltshire - just over our county boundary.
Cycling
Events
The
Parish Council has been working with other bodies to manage the impact of large
cycling events in this special place. We have now published our cycling code of
conduct. This can be found on here or on
our webpage “Caring for Village and Forest”.

Activities for Young People
We are currently
updating our web site and in future would like to include a page for young
people to tell them about activities and up-and-coming events in and around
Brockenhurst. Please contact the Parish Clerk ( email: pc@brockpc.freeserve.co.uk) if you
would be interested in posting information on this page.
